State pensioners issued tax update
12 February 2025
A personal finance expert has issues a warning over tax changes affecting state pensioners. Labour Party Chancellor Rachel Reeves has confirmed recently that those who live solely on the state pension will not pay income tax. State pension payments are set to go up 4.8 per cent next April, lifting the full new rate to £241.30 a week.
HMRC consequences of new year clear-out

Higher than expected household tax bills

That’s why the total can look higher than expected.”
