Connor Simmons at The Accountancy Partnership handled my company's accounts filing promptly and professionally. He provided clear and comprehensive explanations throughout the process, which made everything straightforward and efficient. I am extremely satisfied with the service and would like to commend Connor for his excellent work. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking reliable and knowledgeable accountancy support.
Jermaine Gordon
Aaron Parkinson is an absolute gem of an accountant, and such a nice guy. He spent so much time reviewing my accounts with me over the phone, before they were agreed and finalised. I have nothing but praise and gratitude for the service I continue to receive. Highly recommended.
Graham Price
I am extremely impressed with Ben Salisbury and The Accountancy Partnership's service. As a first-time self-assessment client, I was very late submitting my records and felt stressed about the process. Ben's professionalism and approachability was fantastic, he patiently guided me through everything to ensure my accounts were filed on time.

How to set up your new business
One of the first decisions every entrepreneur makes before launching a brand new business is how to structure it. The way you register a business can have a huge impact on how you operate, affecting the way you report and pay tax, and even how you pay yourself from the business – so it can seem overwhelming!
Most new businesses will start out as either a sole trader or limited company, but there are other options too. Our friendly team will talk you through the choices available and what they might mean for your particular circumstances, so you can make a well-informed decision. You can get in touch using live chat or by phoning us on 020 3355 4047.
Accountants who understand startup businesses
Knowing you can rely on unlimited support from your own dedicated accountant is incredibly reassuring, particularly when you’re still in the startup stages. Your accountant will help you comply with all your responsibilities, and make sure you claim any expenses or tax relief you’re entitled to. Having tailored tax efficiency advice also means you’re likely to save money in the long run!
The type of accounting services you need can vary, but all businesses need to report their profits so we include a full set of accounts and your tax return in your fee as standard. We’ll also be ready to act on your behalf in the (very rare) event of an HMRC inspection. We can even register your limited company for you, saving you up to £180!
Additional Services
VAT Returns
Everything your business needs, from registering on the right VAT scheme, to making submissions.
Bookkeeping
Flexible bookkeeping services tailored to your business by your own dedicated bookkeeper.
Payroll
A complete managed payroll and workplace pensions service for directors and employees.

FAQs
Startup Business FAQs
This partly depends on how you want to operate your startup. For example, if you set up a limited company then you’ll need to tell Companies House, and can choose to notify HMRC automatically as part of that process. A sole trader must register by 5th October in their second tax year. For example, if you start your sole trader business between 6th April 2024 – 5th April 2025, then you’ll need to sign up for Self Assessment by 5th October 2026.
Absolutely! You can contact your accountant for unlimited support over the phone, video call, or by email, when you need it. Your Client Hub account will show all their details, and you’ll always be notified about any planned absences in advance (along with the details of their buddy accountant).
That’s not a problem – it’s actually very common! Just be aware that the business structure you use affects things like legal liability and paying tax, so be sure to do your research or talk to an accountant if you’re not sure what’s best for you.
Your accountant will also perform a detailed tax efficiency review every year, but you can ask them about this at any time.
No, it’s not compulsory! We include free access to our online accounting software, Pandle Pro, but we’ll work with you on any accounts software you use, or you can request bookkeeping as an additional service, it’s entirely up to you.
If you do use Pandle to do your own bookkeeping, our bookkeeping team will regularly check your records, just to make sure everything looks ok.
There are some criteria which you must meet to be eligible for our startup offer:
- Your business must have been trading for less than one year
- Your business must not have filed any trading accounts for the previous year(s)
