Hey Kathryn! Tell us about your business.
Kairos supports business owners to develop thriving teams who want to work in and on the business and achieve great results.
To do this we provide training and coaching opportunities for leaders and their teams, to help them connect and communicate effectively, and build motivation and engagement levels across the organisation.
What drove you to start the business?
My passion to see organisations thrive through great leadership and a belief that this was my calling to do in life.
What particular challenges did you have to overcome in setting up your business, and since then?
Financially it was tough at the start – staying afloat when business was being built up. Also, maintaining my confidence and not succumbing to imposter syndrome. Whilst finance isn’t the issue it was, sometimes I can see the size or nature of a project and feel a bit “wow, ok!” but I now know I can do it, all I have to do is take it one step at a time!
Why did you choose The Accountancy Partnership?
I wanted software that was easy to use, an accountant who didn’t mind my (repeated) questions so that I understand my finances/taxes accurately, and a reasonable price.
How have we helped you overcome any challenges?
Making sure my taxes were accurate, that I understood what was being submitted, and not having everything left to the last minute before the submission date. My old ways of working, and previous accounts, didn’t really help with this.
What do you have planned for your business in the future?
Growth. I’m currently rewriting my website content to reflect the new programmes I’m launching to help businesses that typically don’t have their own L&D dept internally, to still gain foundational skills in leadership, strong communication, and personal development.
