June Client of the Month: HomeXperts

We’re well into summer and even though the weather has taken a sour turn, we’re still celebrating our client of the month! This month we’re chatting to HomeXperts Horsham and Southwater branch manager, Martyn Hughes, to learn more about what they do.

Tell us about the HomeXperts Horsham and Southwater branch!

HomeXperts Horsham and Southwater branch is a personal estate and letting agency offering an excellent level of customer service. We support our clients throughout their sales or lettings process and we’re always at the end of a phone and ready to help. We are also able to offer fantastic rates due to our low operating costs.

With almost all home buyers’ searches starting online, we advertise on all major property portals including Rightmove, Zoopla, Prime Location and many others. We also use advertising media to give our clients’ properties maximum exposure to potential buyers.

What drove you to start the business?

My personal experience of buying houses over many years has always left me feeling disappointed and after my last house purchase I was left feeling extremely disappointed with the level of support we received. As a result, we decided to start our own estate agency with the goal of offering great service at a much lower cost than charged by traditional estate agents.

What kind of support do you offer those looking to rent or sell their property?

We offer personal support to our vendors and landlords who are given the agent’s mobile number so they can contact the agent whenever they need advice, assistance or information. We offer extended hours accompanied viewings by the allocated personal agent which means we are always there to ensure no questions go unanswered and no opportunity to sell your property is missed.

Our branch is open seven days a week in order to accommodate those who work through Monday to Friday office hours.

We make sure our listings on the portals use professional photography, which is updated whenever necessary based on reports from the portals to ensure as many people are clicking on our adverts, giving our properties get maximum exposure.

What three pieces of advice would you offer to those looking to sell or rent out a property?

1. Ensure your property is not overpriced when it goes on the market by checking what your competition is charging, i.e. other properties nearby.
2. Check all decorating projects are completed so your property is presented to the best standard and it is clean, tidy and uncluttered.
3. When choosing an agent get recommendations from friends and family and check adverts online to ensure the photography and adverts are professionally presented.
