Hey Jeffrey! Tell us about your business
Ebonics International operates a juice manufacturing company, and we also trade as Ebonics Solution to provide marketing, signage, IT consulting, and business solutions.
What drove you to start your business?
Consultancy experience made me want to venture outside my 9 to 5 and provide some expertise on the side. The juicing side of the company was driven by a sample, and the logic of putting money where my youth was. After trying the juice once at a stall and praising it, I decided to dive into producing the beverage.
What particular challenges did you have to overcome in setting up your business, and since then?
The juicing side of the company requires funding in order to achieve any scalability. The raw material is cheaper in bigger quantities but also occupies a considerable amount of space. The struggle is always finding the sweet spot between cost of material and profitable sales price.
