Ellie Feely-Jones tells us more about her role as an Admin Assistant here at The Accountancy Partnership.
Give an overview of the duties, functions, and responsibilities of your job.
I deal with administrative jobs within the company. This includes answering general enquires that clients may have, answering phone calls, client registration forms, booking in records, dealing with payments, and helping clients with any issues they may have.
What is a typical working day like for you?
The first thing I do in the morning is complete my registration forms and send our welcome emails, before moving on to clients’ emails and answering any phone calls. In the afternoon I’ll complete my checks, book in records, and finish my emails for the day.
What particular challenges do you regularly encounter?
We are a busy and fast paced office, so this can be challenging as we always set out to reply to our clients within 24 hours.
What are some of the biggest challenges faced by your clients?
Knowing which services to register for can be confusing, as well as meeting deadlines on time – so we send reminders and help our clients.
How are you able to use your skills to solve problems for them?
I’m a patient person, and good at time management and pinpointing any problems to assess what action is required.
What is your favourite part of the job?
My favourite part of my job is my team, they all have a good sense of humour which means we have a good laugh every day.
What do you like most about working for The Accountancy Partnership?
The people I work with, we always have a laugh, and they are very supportive.
What skills do you find most useful to do your job?
Being organised, quick thinking, patient and good time management skills.
Where’s your favourite place to visit on days off?
Any shopping centres, and taking my dog Mya on long walks to the beach.
Tell us about your proudest achievement.
Probably getting my vaccines, I have the worst fear of needles!
How would your colleagues describe you?
I asked my colleagues and they said “one of the youngest but the bossiest”.
What are you reading/binge watching at the moment?
Emily in Paris at the moment!
Who do you admire, and why?
My Mum and Dad. They are very work driven, and hard working.
