Give an overview of the duties, functions, and responsibilities of your job.

Answering client queries over the phone and via email, organising and sending post, processing authorisation codes and Anti-Money Laundering checks, and registering clients for Payroll schemes.

What is a typical working day like for you?

I usually begin with a coffee then spend a couple of hours on emails. I then look to see what tasks I have to do that day. Although each day is different, I tend to organise my post in the morning, then complete whatever other tasks I have to do in the afternoon (this can very from completing AML checks, doing PAYE Registrations for clients, and sorting through client reassignments).

What particular challenges do you regularly encounter?

Being on hold to HMRC!

What are some of the biggest challenges faced by your clients?

Getting their head around the information we send them during the onboarding process and understanding the various codes that are required can sometimes be challenging for clients.

How are you able to use your skills to solve problems for them?

I can be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to emails, so I will take my time to explain things thoroughly and clearly.

What is your favourite part of the job?

My colleagues.

What do you like most about working for The Accountancy Partnership?

The friends I have made.

What skills do you find most useful to do your job?

I like to think that I am a good team-player and an approachable person.

New Brighton beach.

Teaching English to children in Thailand.

Laura who sits next to me said ‘life and soul of the party’; Danielle who sits behind has said ‘bubbly’.

What are you reading/binge watching at the moment?

I am currently reading the ‘You’ series by Caroline Kepnes.

Who do you admire, and why?

My mum, she is the strongest person I know and is always so supportive.
