Give an overview of the duties, functions and responsibilities of your job.
My responsibilities include producing and filing my clients’ year end accounts, ensuring they are as tax efficient as possible. Other duties include preparing and submitting VAT returns, Self Assessment tax returns, and answering all queries from clients via email or over the phone.
What is a typical working day like for you?
I usually start the day answering emails and organising what needs doing in the day. Throughout the day I will be completing sets of accounts, VAT returns and answering Pandle support calls.
What are some of the biggest challenges faced by your clients?
Most of the time it will be new clients starting to do their own bookkeeping. Understanding this at the start can be a challenge but from having 3 years’ experience before joining The Accountancy Partnership, I am happy to help guide them.
What is your favourite part of the job?
My favourite part of the job is learning something new every day. It can be challenging sometimes but once it makes sense, it’s a great feeling.
What do you like most about working for The Accountancy Partnership?
The people, the working environment and of course, the office dogs!
What skills do you find most useful to do your job?
Definitely organisation and communication skills, both allow me to get work done in a professional timely manner.
Where’s your favourite place to visit on days off?
I love going to shopping centres or small city breaks.
What’s your proudest achievement?
My proudest achievement would be buying my first house at 22 and completing the Mersey Tunnel 10k for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.
How would your colleagues describe you?
My colleagues would describe me as caring, friendly and smiley. Maybe a tad dramatic at times…
What are you reading/binge watching at the moment?
I have just finished watching Euphoria for the first time. Now I am trying to find something new.
Who do you admire, and why?
My Mum and Dad, they are always there for me when I need them, they have done so much for me, and I couldn’t ask for better parents.
