Give an overview of the duties, functions and responsibilities of your job.
I complete bookkeeping for our clients, reconciling banks, categorising transactions and filing VAT Returns.
What is a typical working day like for you?
I respond to emails first thing in the morning and then get on with completing bookkeeping and keeping on top of emails throughout the day.
What particular challenges do you regularly encounter?
I would say meeting the VAT deadlines can be challenging if we have a big influx of records being sent in at the same time.
What are some of the biggest challenges faced by your clients?
I think a lot of accountancy/bookkeeping terms are hard to make sense of unless it’s part of your day to day job.
How are you able to use your skills to solve problems for them?
My experience in bookkeeping helps me provide clients with an understanding of what we are doing and hopefully gains their trust that I’m doing my job correctly.
What is your favourite part of the job?
I love problem solving, so if I see something that doesn’t look quite right, I like looking into why this is and figuring out a way to correct it.
What do you like most about working for The Accountancy Partnership?
Definitely the people and the clients – everyone is so friendly and always willing to help and our clients are always so grateful for what we do. I also love the office space and the fact it’s open plan.
What skills do you find most useful to do your job?
I have a good memory, and my brain is very organised.
Where’s your favourite place to visit on days off?
I love being outdoors with my two little boys – whether it’s sunny or raining!

How would your colleagues describe you?
I’d like to think friendly and helpful!
What are you reading/binge watching at the moment?
We just have Disney films on in our house on repeat! But when I get to pick something to watch, I love watching dramas and crime documentaries.
Who do you admire, and why?
My boys – they have taught me to appreciate the little things, patience (most of the time) and they bring so much fun and laughter into every single day! I also admire my Nan who has always been a massive support to me and tells me exactly how it is!
