Give an overview of the duties, functions, and responsibilities of your job.
I provide bookkeeping services, VAT returns and annual accounts for clients, while also providing Pandle support when needed.
What is a typical working day like for you?
The day begins with answering any emails that have come in overnight, followed by coffee and then either completing the bookkeeping, VAT activities or annual accounts I am in progress with before breaking for lunch. I will hopefully be able to take a walk during lunch depending on the weather, before finishing off the afternoon with any outstanding activities from the morning.
What particular challenges do you regularly encounter?
Juggling all the different deadlines of the various bookkeeping and VAT activities, and sometimes receiving the information necessary for these activities just before their deadlines!
How are you able to use your skills to solve problems for them?
Explaining answers to clients in a way that’s easy to understand. Listening and understanding what their problems are is most of the solution to whatever the client may be facing.
What is your favourite part of the job?
The satisfaction of completing an activity that has been particularly challenging.
What do you like most about working for The Accountancy Partnership?
The independence of working however you need to work to complete the job, while knowing there is a team behind you that is always willing to jump in and assist you.
What skills do you find most useful to do your job?
Previous experience in corporate positions means I understand what the client is facing, and helps me explain the solutions to them. Good time management skills help with prioritising the work that needs to be done.
Where’s your favourite place to visit on days off?
Any walking and hiking trail that gets me outdoors, with a pint at the end.

Most people always seem to think I am quiet.
What are you reading/binge watching at the moment?
Any John Grisham or James Patterson novel.

My family, they are always there for me.
