This month we spoke to Suree Rutherford, Admin Senior at The Accountancy Partnership!
Give an overview of the duties, functions and responsibilities of your job.
- Distributing workload
- Monthly checks
- Client billing
- Helping the rest of the team with general queries
What is a typical working day like for you?
It starts with client emails and registration forms, before jumping into the billing system to raise invoices and look into any queries.
I’ll catch up on any checks that need completing too.
What are some of the biggest challenges faced by your clients?
Some clients may be new to business so they struggle with all the accounting jargon. It can make it difficult to understand what we are asking for, so we’ll spend extra time going over everything.
How are you able to use your skills to solve problems for them?
I have lots of previous experience (and patience), or I will discuss with the team or managers to decide.
What is your favourite part of the job?
The team, we all get on well so it’s enjoyable coming to work.
What do you like most about working for The Accountancy Partnership?
Team and management, and the atmosphere.
What skills do you find most useful to do your job?
Staying calm, being empathetic and organised.
Where’s your favourite place to visit on days off?
Anywhere on the Wirral with my children.
Tell us about your proudest achievement.
My three children and also skydiving (when I have a fear of flying).

Who do you admire, and why?
My mother-in-law Diane, she is literally the best mother-in-law in the world, and I could not have asked for anyone better. She does everything for everyone and never complains. She deserves the world.
